Learn to Sew
I began sewing as a young child. The ability to cut shapes from fabric and with some simple stitches, turn it into a 3D object or piece of clothing has always fascinated me. Over the years, i have developed my skills from the simple handstitches i started with as a child to now making my own clothing and accessories. There have been many successes and just as many fails but each one has improved my knowledge and understanding of this simple craft; something i now pass on to everyone who comes to my sewing and pattern cutting workshops.
Understanding different sewing techniques and being able to use them effectively is a great skill to have. From sewing on a button to making a small 'me-made' make can help to preserve a garment for a bit longer or add a personal touch to a gift.
