Maker Monday: Pattern Cloned Shorts

How it started vs how its going

My pattern cloning adventure began with my fave shorts from Next (left) which they sadly, don't sell anymore. So i made a pattern from them, and made a working toile to test the changes. I feel a few versions of these may be needed for the (hopefully) warmer weather.

The Shakespeare Globe Theatre in London

On a trip to the capital, another interesting thing i visited was the Shakespeare Globe Theatre on Southbank.

The tour around the theatre is excellent so if you're passing, do join one to support this wonderful place ... you can learn what a stinkard is! ;)

Maker Monday: Bias Binding and Dior and I

... An excellent combination if i do say so myself (even if the binding is driving me mad!)

A recent trip to Macculloch and Wallis to buy sewing thread means i now have a wonderful rainbow (and co-ordinated) thread box.

I'm a bit weird as i like all the colours grouped together...anyone else like this? or is it just me? 😉

Maker Monday: Fabric Haul

Another recent fabric haul from a Brooke Brothers store that was closing down, and managed to pick up some lovely fabric rolls of wool, jersey marl and silk cotton.

Looking forward to drafting some patterns for these soon.

Throwback Thursday: Clos Maggiore

A recent wonderful and tasty experience at this lovely restaurant.

I've always wanted to go here and finally got my chance. I know i usually post creative art but this meal was utterly divine - not just to look at, but to eat as well!

Obligatory food pics below!  😁 A must if you're in Covent Garden

London!

Oh London - how i've missed you!

It was lovely to return to the capital and see the sights (and get out of the house!). I used to live in London many years ago, so it was nice to revisit some places that were favourite stops on a tourist walk around the city.

Check out the photo dump below to see some of the highlights 😊
