Pattern Cloning Continues!

The pattern cloning continues...fingers crossed this jersey works as the grainline has warped! I've tried my best to get it as close as i can be as this remnant is over 10 years old, i'm not sure how successful i will be.
Its all cut out and ready to sew but going to make some binding strips just in case from the off cuts.

The last sewing project of 2020!

Handmade Christmas: Make a Bauble Decoration

Want to create a me-made treat for your Christmas Tree? Or need an activity for the last few days before Christmas?

Try making one of my handmade Bauble decorations to add to your tree!

They are a prefect quick make to get you into the Christmas spirit :)

Download the free pattern and follow the instructions below to make your own.

*Want to make some other handmade decorations? Why not make a stocking, present or snowman decoration with previous decoration patterns.

1: Using the free pattern, cut around the bauble base, the bauble loop and bauble stripes.

2: Pin your pattern pieces on to felt and cut around them. You will need two pieces for the bauble base, two for the bauble loop, and six bauble stripes (three for each side). These can be cut in alternating or mixed colours. *The bauble stripes will be trimmed to the shape of the bauble base.

3: Sew three stripes to one of the bauble bases with a small running stitch. These can be in any rotation on the bauble. Tie a knot in the thread to stop it from coming loose at the start and end of your stitches. Repeat this step for the other side of the bauble.

4: Sew each of the bauble loops to the bauble bases (on the opposite sides of the felt to the stripes) with small running stitches. Tie and knot in the thread at the start and end to prevent the stitches from coming out.

5. Place the two bauble pieces together. Pin in place and sew together with slip or running stitches around the outside; including around the outside of bauble loop. Remember to tie a knot in your thread at the start and the end.

6: Lastly, cut 20cm of thin ribbon. Thread the ribbon through the bauble loop and tie the two ends in a knot to secure.

Time To Wrap!

Crafting supplies, fabric and ribbon remnants at the ready...
this means only one thing...
