...Quality and Quilting in The Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior.
He suggests that quality is essential to elegance, and you should always strive for the best quality material and fabric (very true!), and quilting can make a nice lining for a winter coat but never as a trimming...it looks cheap apparently.
