Maker Monday: Print Repeats with 1st Year BCU Fashion

Understanding the structures of print placement and repeats can be tricky, so it was great to practice with the first year BCU fashion students with simple shapes and drawings to test repeat theory. 

Even with stickers, its a easy way to understand half drop, brick and spot repeat knowledge that can then be developed into something more creative later. We also experimented with hand drawn seamless repeats to understand how drawings can be divided and turned into all over designs. 

Although simple in process, it can be very effective.
