Rainwear, Red and Ribbon is Christian Dior's The Little Dictionary of Fashion.
Apparently, rainwear was made from quite 'drab' materials originally, but 'cannot be treated the same as an ordinary coat as it should protect you from the rain' 🙄 - which is what a coat is supposed to do, but anyway...
...different shades of red are youthful for those 'not so young and slim' 😒 ...
...and there is supposedly an art to tying a bow which can't be done in creased ribbon.
