Me Made May: Day 6 - Gertie Vintage Dress

One of the first commercial patterns i ever tried; A Gertie Vintage Dress. This version is with a circle skirt.

Not something i could wear to work today but something to dream of wearing when we can eventually go somewhere. Also, the back detail is everything!

Me Made May: Day 5 - An Old University Project

A make from my 2nd year Abercrombie & Fitch collaborative project at the London College of Fashion (a long time ago now!)

This is nice and oversized, hand printed and very warm to wear, which is great as i've been cold all day!

Each letter was hand stamped by me and my Dad and took forever!

Me Made May: Day 4 - Upcycled Top

Not a full me made make, but an upcycled one.

I bought this top from Zara in Barcelona years ago, but the thin straps didn't work well when i wore it, so decided to create wider shoulder panels instead to make it more functional and comfortable.

Me Made May: Day 3 - Overlap Skirt

Another make made in a fabric remnant; some polyester wool in a grey and black check.

This was a test garment for a sewing class, but made it in my size so i could wear it as well.

Also, not to be bias of anything, but my pattern matching is awesome on this! :D I also added pockets too!

Me Made May: Day 2 - Self-Drafted Cami Top

Before the rain came, there was my Clothhouse fabric self-drafted cami top.

A lovely printed cotton that I've had remnants of for many years, finally turned into something i'll wear.

Me Made May: Day 1 - My Self-Drafted Coat

My day-to-day go to garment.

I can never get a piece of outerwear to fit properly, so i pattern cut my own instead.

It took a while, and i featured the process here with several posts between April and July of last year, showing all the work that going into making a semi-tailored garment. Although it took a long time, it was worth it.
