The Little Dictionary of Fashion: B is for...
B is for Bodices from the Little Dictionary of Fashion by Christian Dior.
Some vintage advice from 1954...apparently as the bodice is near your face, it has to make a nice frame for it. Who'd have thought it?!

Another Me Made Gift
A close friend had a change of decade birthday recently, so now that i've given her this gift, I can now share the me made piece that i made.
Using embroidery thread, i backstitched a floral design on recycled fabric to make a pillow. The pillow stuffing was also created from shredded remnants of my recent me made makes; all very eco! Using fabric off cuts as stuffing is a great way to use them up as opposed to throwing them away. Fabric causes a lot of damage to the environment, so reusing it in any way possible is a great help.
TBT: The Button Tin
The vintage button tin...we all have one in some shape or form. This one if courtesy of my Nan.
Some of the buttons in here date back to the 1940s - the same could probably be said for the tin too! They do come in extremely handy though.

FBF: Photos in Cyprus
Flashback Friday: Photographs in Cyprus back in 2012 . These were dotted around on billboards in the street - sadly can't remember who they're by, but stunning nevertheless.

A is for adaptation - His advice could be more eco but hey, it still works! And it was written in 1954! Thanks Victoria & Albert Museum for this gem of a reprint.
