Young Designers Sewing Course at MAC Birmingham

It was once again time for my annual Young Designers Sewing School course at MAC Birmingham. This year, the workshop was over 2 days and focuses on project based makes. We covered setting up and using sewing machines, basic stitch samplers in cotton and jersey, customised t-shirts, elasticated skirts and a variety of accessories.

Everyone created some great pieces. Take a look at what we got up to below:

Sewing Junior at MAC Birmingham

Its been a busy day today at MAC Birmingham teaching another sold out Introduction to Sewing juniors class. This morning we developed our hand sewing and drawing skills by creating doodle pillows before moving on to mini-makes this afternoon.

Everyone did an amazing job with their projects and I hope to see you all again soon!

#traveladventures: Mediterranean Tour with Princess Cruises

After a busy Spring and Summer season teaching, I took some time off during the Summer teaching break to go travelling with family. As we were interested in seeing a few places, we decided on a cruise around the mediteranean with Princess Cruises. We visited a number of different places; Barcelona, Rome, Livorno, Portofino, Genoa, Marseille and Gibraltar (I know, that's a lot of places in 2 weeks!) and we had an amazing time. we saw lots of wonderful things, the weather was fantastically hot and I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday halfway through :)

Take a look at some of the pictures below to see what we got up to!

Rome: Coloseum
